Woodpecker

First I took my bike in to have the chain tightened. I couldn't move the nut on the rear tyre!

Good ride home.

Great views
Got home and decided to get my scope out to digiscope a great spotted woodpecker's hole to see if I could get some shots of the chick and mother.

Finally the mother turns up
And the chick gets fed!
Well worththe wait.

A trip round Wimpole Hall gardens the next day.

And then I bought my DSLR

2nd Test

Lords for me this Friday. And what a scorcher. It was actually too hot to be comfortable in the Compton Stand.

Bit of green on the wicket?

Trotski comes to the crease earlier than expected

Maharoof's on fire! - Not really, he was boundary fodder.

Tha pavillion's a picture - if only I'd got it all in!
Morgan's innings was the highlight of the day for me.

An absolutely top days cricket. We thought Dilshan was mad sticking England in to bat but at 22 for 3 it looked inspired. Not so at the end of the day with England's batters finishing on top. Will there be a result on this flat wicket however? (At time of writing there's one day to go and a result is still possible but my money would be on the draw.)
